Canis Canem Edit school bully game controversy14:30 Thu 26 October 2006Controversial bullying game Canis Canem Edit (Latin for Dog Eat Dog) goes on sale tomorrow. The game has been heavily criticised by anti-bullying campaigners, and MPs have called for it to be banned, which it has been in Currys, but it still hits shelves tomorrow with a 15-rating by the British Board of Film Classification. The original title was billed as Bully but it was renamed after the name was deemed unsuitable. The launch brings up the subject of video game violence once more. The Daily Mail has been vocal against the game launch, alongside anti-bullying campaigners who claim it glamourises bullying and violence. If you want to read more about the game, check out Computer and Video Games for a review. Their RSS feed can be added to your MIX page if you want news and reviews from the gaming world too.
