Most gossiped topic on the blogsphere, IKEA Dog11:41 Thu 31 August 2006Give a dog a bone! To cut a long story short (and believe me it's getting longer by the minute) on the front page of the new IKEA catalogue (WebTwitcher thinks it may be Canada only, but cannot confirm) there is a picture of a happy family lounging on a bed with their dog. The dog appears to have a larger than normal appendage, perhaps not of canine origin, which has led some to believe the image was tampered with by a prankster at IKEA Towers. It's been denied. Look at the cover here and judge for yourself, or check out the blogsphere for other theories and explanations.

This is exactly what I expected to find out after reading the title Most gossiped topic on the blogsphere, IKEA Dog. Thanks for informative article
Well my copy certainly displays the appendage clear as day and that ain't no dog leg shadow...it's the real thing and funny as hell!

read all about it, and see the pic here.
i dont think the cover WebTwitcher has linked to is the actual one that was published. IKEA withdrew it almost immediately...anyone got a scan???!
The plot thickens... :)
Pick-up the catalog and see for yourself. I own it (the american one) and didn't believe the story when I heard it either. However, I went and dug my copy out and it's there, clear as day. And I have news for you, it ain't no leg, or any dog part for that matter!!! Of course IKEA will deny it, what company in their right mind would admit something like that? But it's there. Before you discount it, grab a real copy of the magazine and look for yourself.
All who claim that is anything but what it actually is - a dog's hind leg - build their "cases" on badly scanned and/or blurry pics. If you go to the trouble of scanning the photo and blowing it up, and still see anything than a ripple in a dog's muscle tissue, you need to go and see a shrink.
i want to see an article on the designer in the sun! who dunnit style. Bet they're not working there any more...
Thanks Max!
